Maden Bay which has dense pine forest on its both slopes enters into
the land like a fiord at the north of Bördübet Gulf. The inner part of
the bay is deep until the start of the low sand headland on the north
coast. It is anchored here between 6 to 10 m. The bottom is muddy-sandy
and holds anchor perfectly. Boats reach to a standstill position either
anchored or on hawser on south coast.
The bay is exposed only to west – southwest wind and when the gentle
breeze blows from the west, weak wave is seen.
There is a low wooden port in front of the sand headland. This place
is the beach of Amazon Camping which is placed inland. There is a road
down below the trees to the camping site. 2 m. depth line begins from
the wooden port and reaches to the opposite coast on the east direction.
A white water gage near the wooden port marks sandbank. The wide bay beyond
this water gage is shallow. An overflow in the end, curls to the inland.
Never neglect visiting this overflow with your rubber boat. A channel
which has a depth of 0.5 to 1 m., draw into the river after the wooden
port at the north coast of the bay. The channel is marked. Keep red ended
pickets on the right and white ones on the left. The overflow, which huge
pine trees bend on, curls and reaches to the port of inland Amazon Camping.
Perhaps a grey mullet or a bird (YALIÇAPKINI) guides you!
